Website Testing

Usability testing sessions are quite receptive and sensitive. A consultant has to learn several behavioral tactics to ensure everything is going perfect and as per expectations. Here are a few basics a usability consultancy expert should practice while the testing process is on.

Remember that this is a testing of a website not you or any subject. Any feedback that you get is worthy and a participant has the right to know it.  If they are not able to perform a particular function, make sure you tell them that it is not their fault. Treat every outcome as natural as they should be.

Remain silent and out of the sight during test.  You must not cook up the results by giving clues, suggestions or directions or replying to one of their answers.  You need every feedback to be natural and easy flowing. Avoid shaking your head or huffing as they may tamper the outcomes.

Speak to test candidates only when you want to put an opinion or clarify a response. Else, please do not open your mouth.

Many a time clients want to be present at such testing venue. They often find difficulty to remain quiet during tests. Therefore, it is better if you put them in another room and arrange live telecast of the testing process. Thus, you will be able to avoid any discrepancy in testing module.
